In a meeting with Head of Majlis (Iranian parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi in Damascus on Wednesday Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem has expressed gratitude to Iran for helping his country in its ongoing fight against terrorism.

Boroujerdi, heading a high-ranking delegation, is in Syria to meet the senior Syrian officials and discuss bilateral talks with them.
During the meeting with Muallem, Boroujerdi underlined Iran's support for Syria, and said, 'We welcome quadrilateral coalition between Iran, Syria, Iraq and Russia in the ongoing fight against the ISIL.'
'This coalition is a positive step forward and anyone who claims to be fighting terrorism should adopt a positive stance towards the coalition,' the senior Iranian legislator added; IRNA reported.
