IRAQI FORCES RETAKE AREAS IN SAMARRA LEAVING SCORES OF ISIS TERRORISTS DEAD

The Iraqi popular committees backed by the country's Federal Police have seized new areas in the Western part of Samarra city, leaving scores of ISIS militants dead.

The Iraqi forces killed and wounded over 50 terrorists in several hours of clashes.

The popular forces also seized back several areas from the terrorists.

The Iraqi forces are determined to purge terrorists from vast areas in the desert regions of the Western suburbs of Samarra and al-Sarsar lake.

If the Iraqi forces continue to make their advances in the desert regions of the Northern Al-Anbar province and the Southern parts of Salahuddin province, the terrorists will come under a siege by the Iraqi troops.

"In a relevant development in late November, Iraq's army and Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi popular forces repelled large-scale attacks by the ISIS terrorists in Salahuddin province, and killed a large group of the Takfiri militants."

The Iraqi forces thwarted the attacks in Makhoul Mountains in Salahuddin province, killing a large number of terrorists.

There were no immediate reports of the exact number of the dead terrorists.

Also in late November, Iraq's al-Hashd Al-Shaabi forces clashed with ISIS terrorists in Salahuddin province, killing the terrorists' top commander.

The Iraqi popular forces killed the senior ISIS commander, Mohamad Saad Al-Jroub, in clashes in West of Samarra city in Salahuddin, informed sources said, FNA reported.
