YEMENI FORCES KILL SAUDI BORDER GUARD IN JIZAN.

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Saudi Interior Ministry said that a border guard was killed in the Kingdom's border province of Jizan in an exchange of fire with Yemeni forces.

The ministry said that the border guard was killed after a military post in the district of Harth in the Saudi province of Jizan came under fire by the Yemeni troops early Monday.

According to the Saudi newspaper of al-Sharq, Abed Bakri Abdullah Qisy was killed in an exchange of fire at the border with Yemen.

Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 174 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 5,847 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
